Have you been looking for a place to host your all-inclusive destination wedding in the beautiful Pacific Northwest? Imagine a magical place where you can host an intimate wedding, and be married amongst family, friends, and nature. A quiet, rustic retreat set amongst the tall mossy trees of the PNW on one of Washington’s beautiful islands. A place where you can host a beautiful and personal wedding weekend, spending plenty of quality time with your guests while the venue takes care of food, lodging, and entertainment.

If this sounds like the place you have envisioned having your dream wedding, then you have found the most amazing place at IslandWood on Bainbridge Island, Washington. IslandWood is an environmental education center, which also offers different retreat options for elopements, weddings, and more.

Anika and Rylan had been looking for a venue to host their intimate destination wedding where they would not have to worry about their guests finding lodging and traveling back and forth to different event locations. IslandWood offered the perfect setting — a beautiful location where they could get married and spend quality time with their guests.

IslandWood catered meals and hosted activities throughout the weekend. There was something for everyone — young, old, adventurous, active, or calm and quiet. They offered a variety of classes and outings such as yoga, hiking, bird-watching, and even a class about where their food comes from. Their meal options are carefully curated using local food, and they cater to dietary requests such as vegan or vegetarian.

The evening before the wedding there was a friendship circle surrounding the fire pit, which offered guests a chance to get to know one another, reconnect, and reminisce with the happy couple.

Anika and Rylan were so happy to find such a beautiful place to host their springtime wedding in the PNW, where their closest friends and family could meet for a weekend of celebration and fun. There were ample opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors, or spend time in one of the cozy lodges talking or playing games around the fire.

On their wedding day, they hiked over a suspension bridge, climbed to the top of the canopy tower, and enjoyed spending time in nature with one another.

After exploring the grounds of IslandWood, it was time for Anika and Rylan to say “I do”. Because Washington can have quite questionable weather in April, they had opted for the indoor ceremony option. The Great Hall was the perfect indoor setting for them to exchange vows during the unpredictable PNW springtime weather.

During the reception, guests were treated to local, seasonal foods that had been carefully personalized and curated by the chef. There were many plant-based, vegan and vegetarian options available.

After cocktail hour and dinner, everyone rejoined in the Great Hall for toasts. After some tears were shed, it was time for dancing! Anika and Rylan danced the night away with their closest friends and family. Thanks to IslandWood providing lodging, food, and activities, Rylan and Anika were able to spend time focusing on celebrating and sharing their love story, making for the perfect wedding weekend.
